Total Population, Census 2020
Delmarva Total Population (Census 2020) is a dynamic web mapping application developed for the Delmarva Index to provide a clear, accessible view of total population counts from the 2020 Decennial Census (P.L. 94-171 Redistricting Data). This interactive tool enables users to explore how population is distributed across counties, tracts, block groups, and blocks throughout the Delmarva Peninsula.
Designed for use by local governments, nonprofits, planners, and community leaders, the application supports informed decision-making by visualizing where people live, identifying population concentrations, and revealing regional trends. Users can toggle between geographic levels to examine spatial patterns and inform efforts related to infrastructure, service delivery, and grant applications.
This tool focuses exclusively on total population counts from the 2020 Census, offering official, full-count data critical for redistricting, congressional apportionment, and federal funding distribution.
