Annual Average Weekly Wages for Mid-Shore Counties by Industry
Published June 12th, 2025

This interactive dashboard provides a clear visualization of annual average weekly wages across Maryland’s Mid-Shore counties—Caroline, Dorchester, and Talbot—with the option to filter by industry sector. Using data from the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (2008–2023), this tool enables users to track wage growth and compare earning trends over time by county and sector.

Each county’s data is displayed through color-coded line charts, making it easy to explore variations in:

  • Overall average weekly wages
  • Wage trends by industry, including construction, education and health, local government, and more

For example, in 2023, Talbot County recorded the highest overall average weekly wage at $1,188, followed closely by Caroline County at $1,161, while Dorchester County reached $1,037. Users can also analyze how specific industries have evolved—such as construction wages, which saw steady growth across all three counties over the last decade.

The dashboard’s responsive filtering and intuitive design make it a valuable tool for economic developers, workforce planners, and policy analysts focused on tracking wage competitiveness and sectoral performance across the region.

Key Features:

  • Time series comparison from 2008 to 2023
